With open sea and refreshing breeze, Jeju (a famous island located in South Korea) was the perfect place to grow up as a photographer with nature's generous sensitivity. I started photography to keep people's stories and nature's wisdom beside myself. While I was acting as a free-lance photo journalist and a performance photographer, I went all the way to England and started to take photos of a much more wider world.
As I came back to Korea I entered Hongik graduate school and completed the master's course of photography in 2008. Currently I'm doing my best in training juniors at schools and photo academy processes such as major in visual communication design,School of design, Hongik university, 'Saeki P&C Photo Academy' , 'Seoul College Fashion Marketing Department' , 'Gallery Through' , 'Only Gallery' and trying to encourage teenagers at Seoul Youth Detention Center and to find them a new dream. I'm also photographing Korea's beautiful scenes on SkyLife channel 'Hyu(휴)'. Moreover, I'm doing my own creative activity with all the passion I have. Starting from my exhibition 'She is who she is' in 2008, I've been holding a private exhibition every year. 'Paradise Lost' in 2010, 'Sea & Wave' in 2012 and 'Healing Spot' in 2013. I've took part in several group exhibitions as well, including 'China Xishuangbanna International Photo Festival' and 'France Normandie USINE UTOPIC Video Festival' both in 2014. Especially, I've been able to photograph the world in more diversity and deep sensitivity from taking part in '2013 South Coast Project' as a selected photographer and in '1939 Residency'. For the books I wrote, there are Oh! My Baby that explains about photography skills, A Romantic Railway Journey and Romance Trip in Jeju which is expected to be published in May, 2014.
